Hello everyone, I’m Jelly, a long-time lurker in this ddt.one community.

For those who followed the old (now defunct) forum of ddt.one, you’ll immediately recognize my long-winded writing style right from these first few lines.

Alright, to kick off the article section for ddt.one, today I’d like to introduce you to a new game (uhm… well, not that new).

Let's get to the point.

Around August to September 2024, a bunch of Chinese PC games flooded the international and Vietnamese audio game communities. Among them, there’s one game that, from my observation, has been getting way more praise than the rest. That game is Dragon Moon (or Long Nguyet if you prefer not to read in English).

So, what the hell is Long Nguyet?

In simple and understandable terms, it’s an RPG where you play as a loser dude who gets constantly oppressed by a female character, and because you’re so broke and down bad, you end up playing an RPG.

Did anyone get what I just said? :)

Well, I think my “simple and easy to understand” intro has already given you a pretty clear overview of the game. Now let’s move on to some standout features.

The first thing that’ll hit your ears in any audio game is the sound. I swear to you, out of all the games I’ve played, the sound in Dragon Moon easily ranks among the top, standing proudly at the pinnacle of society, crushing most of the competition. Boasting a sound library ranging from mid-high to very high quality, a diverse and awesome music playlist, plus the fact that everything is in 3D sound, the audio quality skyrockets straight to the top.

Following the sound quality is the gameplay. A game can still earn a soft spot in your heart even if its sound sucks, as long as the gameplay is fun and, more importantly, suits your taste. The gameplay of Dragon Moon, to be brutally honest, isn’t anything too groundbreaking or revolutionary. It’s just some basic combat mechanics with a few complex elements to keep the difficulty stable. But with a ton of different effects, varied combat scenarios that interact with each other, and certain parts with increased difficulty, the game becomes quite engaging. In short, it’s not so easy that you get bored, and not so hard that you want to quit. So rest assured, it’s all good.
