Terraria is an action-packed adventure game where the world is at your fingertips. Blending elements of classic action games with the freedom of sandbox-style creativity, it offers a unique experience where both the journey and the destination are completely in the player's control. Nothing is impossible in this vast world.
You fight for survival, fortune, and glory. You can choose to delve deep into cavernous expanses in search of treasure and raw materials to craft ever-evolving gear and machinery. Alternatively, you can seek out powerful foes to test your combat skills, or construct your own city to house mysterious allies encountered along your travels. The world is randomly generated, ensuring that every adventure is unique.
Main features of Terraria:
- Sandbox Play: Total freedom to interact with the world, destroy blocks, and build structures.
- Exploration: Discover vast underground systems, different biomes, and hidden treasures.
- Combat and Progression: Craft weapons and armor to fight monsters and bosses.
- Randomly Generated Worlds: Each new game creates a completely new map to explore.

To enable the game to work with accessibility mode, you need an Accessibility Mod. User "ChipsAhoyMcCoy" at the AudioGames.net Forum created this fantastic mod. You can view the topic here: View the Accessibility Mod topic at AudioGames.net Forum.
If you are using the unlocked version downloaded from this site, please follow these steps to install the mod:
- Download and unzip the game file. Identify the main game folder where the `Terraria.exe` file is located.
- Download tModLoader (a Terraria modding API) from GitHub: Download tModLoader. Look for the file named `tModLoader.zip`.
- Extract the `tModLoader.zip` file directly into the main Terraria folder (the same folder containing `Terraria.exe`). The structure should result in a folder named `tModLoader` inside your Terraria folder.
- Go into the new `tModLoader` folder and run the `start-tModLoader.bat` file. If Terraria launches and you hear music, tModLoader is working correctly. Close the game to proceed to the next step.
- Download the Terraria Access mod files from the forum topic link provided above.
- Extract the Terraria Access file.
- Copy the file `NVDAController64.dll` from the accessibility mod folder and paste it into the `Terraria/tModLoader` folder (the same place where `start-tModLoader.bat` is located).
- Copy the files `ScreenReaderMod.tmod`, `input profiles.json`, and `enabled.json` from the accessibility mod folder. Navigate to your Documents folder on your computer, then go to `My Games`, then `Terraria`, then `tModLoader`, and finally `Mods`. Paste the files into this `Mods` folder.
- Run the game by using the `start-tModLoader.bat` file located in the `Terraria/tModLoader` folder. If no errors occur, you can now play Terraria without sight.
A big thank you to the developer of the accessibility mod for helping blind people play Terraria.
Consider buying this game if possible to support the developer. They deserve it.
