RimWorld

RimWorld is a sci-fi colony simulation game driven by an intelligent AI storyteller. You begin with three survivors of a shipwreck on a distant world, tasked with building a new home in a hostile environment. The game generates unique stories by simulating psychology, ecology, combat, climate, biomes, diplomacy, interpersonal relationships, art, medicine, trade, and more.

The game is designed as a story generator, co-authoring tragic, twisted, and triumphant tales about imprisoned pirates, desperate colonists, starvation, and survival. It works by controlling the "random" events that the world throws at you through an AI Storyteller. You can choose from different storytellers like Randy Random, Cassandra Classic, or Phoebe Chillax, each offering a different rhythm of events.

RimWorld offers deep simulation features:

• Colonist Management: Your colonists are not professional settlers but crash-landed survivors with distinct backgrounds, skills, and personalities. You must manage their moods, needs, wounds, illnesses, and addictions.
• Social Dynamics: Colonists develop and break relationships. They can become lovers, marry, cheat, or fight, adding a layer of social drama to the survival gameplay.
• Complex Medical System: Wounds and infections are tracked on every body part. You can replace wounded limbs and organs with prosthetics, ranging from primitive peg legs to advanced bionics.
• World Building and Exploration: Build your colony in various biomes like forests, deserts, or tundras. You can also form caravans to travel across the planet, trade with other factions, or attack enemy bases.
• Combat and Defense: Fight off pirates, tribes, mad animals, and ancient killing machines using a variety of weapons and tactical structures.
