Hand of Fate is a hybrid game that blends roguelike elements, action-RPG combat, and deck building into a unique experience. In a cabin at the end of the world, you play a game of life and death against a mysterious dealer. You build a deck of cards, which is then dealt out to create the dungeon floors you will explore.
The gameplay transitions seamlessly between tabletop strategy and visceral combat. When you encounter an enemy card, the cards fly into your hands and transform into fully modeled 3D assets, beginning a real-time action battle. As you progress, you will earn new cards, discover equipment, and unlock mysteries to defeat the Jack, Queen, and King of each suit.

To experience the game with accessibility features, you need to use the "Hand of Fate Accessibility Mod".

If you are using the unlocked version downloaded from this site, please follow these manual installation steps carefully:
- Download the latest MelonLoader installer from the official repository: Download MelonLoader. Please look for the file named `MelonLoader.Installer.exe`.
- Run the installer file you just downloaded. In the interface, press the "Add Game Manually" button. A file browser will open; navigate to the folder where you downloaded the game and select the `Hand of Fate.exe` file.
- After you add the file, the game's name will appear in a list on the installer's interface. You must find and select the game from this list to proceed.
- Next, find the "Version" dropdown menu. It is very important that you select version v0.5.4 from this menu for the mod to work correctly. After selecting the version, press the "Install" button.
- Download the latest release of the Accessibility Mod from GitHub: Download Accessibility Mod.
- Extract the downloaded archive. You will need to copy the files to specific locations within your game folder:
- Copy the file `HandOfFateAccessibility.dll` into the `Hand of Fate/Mods/` folder.
- Copy the files `Tolk.dll`, `nvdaControllerClient32.dll`, and `SAAPI32.dll` into the main `Hand of Fate/` folder (this is the same folder that contains the `Hand of Fate.exe` file). - Launch the game. Make sure your screen reader is running before you start.
