Against the Storm is a dark fantasy city builder set in a world tormented by apocalyptic rains. As the Queen's Viceroy, you are charged with a monumental task: reclaim the wilderness and build a future for civilization's last survivors. Unlike traditional city builders where you focus on a single settlement, this game challenges you to build a vast, prosperous network of settlements populated by diverse fantasy races including humans, beavers, lizards, foxes, and harpies.
The gameplay uniquely blends city management with roguelite mechanics. You must manage the specific needs of your population—from housing and culinary preferences to luxuries—while facing the oppressive hostility of the forest and the recurring Blightstorms. If a settlement falls, the expedition ends, but the game continues; you carry forward resources and upgrades to your next journey. With hundreds of gameplay modifiers and distinct biomes, no two runs are ever the same. You must constantly balance the Queen's impatient demands for progress with the welfare of your people, deciding whether to exploit the forest for quick gains or proceed with caution to ensure survival.

To experience the game with accessibility features, you need to use the "ATS Accessibility Mod".

If you are using the unlocked version downloaded from this site, please follow these manual installation steps:
- Download the unlocked version here.
- Extract the file, go to and locate the game's root folder, which contains the `Against the Storm.exe` file.
- Go to the latest release page on GitHub for the ATS Accessibility Mod: Download ATS Accessibility Mod.
- Download the mod version and extract it. You should see a folder named `BepInEx`, a file named `winhttp.dll`, and other files inside the mod folder.
- Copy everything inside the mod's root folder (where `BepInEx` and `winhttp.dll` are located) and paste it into the game's root folder (where `Against the Storm.exe` is located).
