Hello everyone! In this article, I’ll show you how to enable the “Remove Animations” feature to help improve the processing speed of Samsung phones. By default, when using TalkBack on a Samsung device, various animation effects can cause delays, especially when accessing “Recent Apps” and pressing “Close All.” This waiting period is due to built-in animation effects, which create visually appealing transitions but can slow down performance, particularly on lower-end devices.

Guide

For Android 11, 12, and 13

  • Step 1: Open Settings by pulling down the Notification Shade or Quick Settings, then double-tap “Settings,” or locate the Settings icon on the Home or Apps screen.
  • Step 2: Scroll down toward the bottom, and swipe until you hear TalkBack read “Accessibility. TalkBack • Mono audio • Assistant menu,” then double-tap.
  • Step 3: Find and double-tap the “Visibility enhancements” option.
  • Step 4: Scroll to the middle of the screen, and listen for “Remove animations. Reduce screen effects. Useful if you are sensitive to screen animations or movement.” Then double-tap to enable this feature.

For Android 14

  • Step 1: Open Settings by pulling down the Notification Shade or Quick Settings, then double-tap “Settings,” or locate the Settings icon on the Home or Apps screen.
  • Step 2: Scroll down toward the bottom, and swipe until you hear “Accessibility, Vision • Hearing • Interaction,” then double-tap.
  • Step 3: Find and double-tap the “Vision enhancements” option.
  • Step 4: Scroll to the middle of the screen, and listen for “Remove animations. Reduce screen effects. Useful if you are sensitive to screen animations or movement.” Then double-tap to enable this feature.

Note

Enabling this tip may improve processing speed on some Samsung devices, but results may vary depending on the device’s hardware configuration.

Conclusion

In this article, I’ve shared how to enable the “Remove Animations” feature to improve performance on Samsung phones. I hope this simple tip proves helpful and enhances your user experience. Good luck!
